The Soothing Grey
The Soothing Grey is simply a one-man experiment in techno/electronica/ambient music. I got tired of waiting around for friends to decide whether they wanted to commit to a full band, plus I was really branching out in my musical tastes towards indie and expirimental stuff. Now I'm hooked, and enjoy making this music.Band/artist history
The Soothing Grey started back in early March as just an expiriment, then I actually liked what I was making and get serious about it.Have you performed in front of an audience?If/when I assemble a live band, I'll be doing the local clubs in Richmond, VA. If that goes well, hopefully start hitting the road.
Your musical influences
My music ranges between Euro-techno and mellow ambient. Influences are The Echoing Green, Joy Electric, Kraftwerk, The American Dollar, Sigur Ros.What equipment do you use?
For now, Sony Acid Studio and Fruity Loops Studio. Hope to get a synthesizer and/or keyboard at some pointAnything else?
