Band/artist history
In this modern day and age, countless numbers of bands flood the genres of hardcore like sand in an hourglass. What music was 20 years ago is now lost in today's "off-the-shelf" blend of haircuts and trainers. We ask everyone a simple question...... what's happened to the music? Where has all the passion and pride gone? That's where THESOLEMNPROMISE come in, early 2003 the band forms. TSP are an eclectic mix of long time school friends, all members of previous bands and all dedicated to creating an intricate soundscape layered so pure and honest that all the love and vitriol is captured almost effortlessly. TSP have shared the stage alongside some top quality bands (the likes of Midasuno, Devil Sold His Soul, Dopamine, Secondsmile, Ella, Mea Culpa, The Abner, Keiko, The Fallout Theory, Tribute To Nothing etc... to name only a few) and have performed to some truly aspiring and appreciative audiences. The band always have the aim of proving themselves more profoundly to more and more people wherever they go. As for song writing, an idea maybe written, a riff maybe jammed and a song will be COMPLETELY finished..... only for it to be ripped to pieces and started again from scratch. It's this fussy attention to detail that make TSP's tracks rich with different types of elements... from being melodic / unpredictable / heavy yet soft / obscure / comic / serious and raw with a fused hardcore influence and punk like aggression all to their own complete with full band backing vocals...... rock music that doesn't suffer the ill-effects of pigeon-holing. Music (we might add) that will always come first from the heart and soul. TSP aim to be at the forefront of this new wave "enjoyable and unpredictable, very distinctive and wholly refreshing" - Mark Jones (A&R advisor for MTV) "They show great maturity with their song writing that puts them a clear head + shoulders above the other bands of their age and genre. Truly astounding" - Kevyn Gammond (MAS records) "amazing potential" - Neil Harris (Executive of Orange) The band have matured and honed their sound and have undergone an intensive song writing spree. With their goals set high and the bar raised, the band are looking into the future to be taken seriously..... We are THESOLEMNPROMISE, any questions?
