The Slacker Program
The Slacker Program is Prof. Zodd from Broken Presshead. Trip-Hop meets Cosmic Blues is the blueprint for the sonic soundscapes that are the result of The Slacker Program. Somwhere underwater Tricky and BB King are hanging out sipping Absethe. That's what this sounds like.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
The Slacker Program was created by Prof. Zodd. during Broken Pressheads brief hiatus in 2001. Haven't done much since 2002. Since 2004 I've been messing around with some friends. Did some mellow spacey rock with Stevie D and The No Shows and helped form Thunder Over Water.
Your musical influences
I don't know where I get this spacey blues sound from. Probably the Hendrix and Pink Floyd albums I listened to growing up.
What equipment do you use?
The gear I use is pretty simple. Everything ya hear is done with a Fender Strat, sometimes an acoustic guitar,I run the strat through a '65 Fender Reverb amp. For effects it's a Big Muff Pie, Ibanez delay/echo pedal. Theres also alotta keys and beats. Everything runs through a Tascam four-track. I record mostly in my bedroom. Inspiration can hit any time and then I just do it.
Anything else?
Yeah, just keep in mind this is done on some basic gear. There isn't any mastering ( it's done on a 4-track...come on) or a record company "turning the switches". Let me know what ya think...................I haven't been to this site in a while so I'll try to up date soon. Thanx for stopping by.
I play what I wanna play, when I wanna play and hopefully someone will find a song or two they like.
