The Skeleton Crew

The Skeleton Crew is a three-piece punk band from Syracuse,New York.The band consists of Steve Harris on lead vocals and bass,Matt Hall on guitar and vocals,and Hadin Lemery on drums. Check out our official website at

Steve and Hadin were originally in a band called The Hindu Cows,but they could never find a drummer,so the band really never went anywhere. Steve's brother,Brian Harris,who played bass for The Hindu Cows,decided to collaborate with the band's mutual friend,Matt Hall,on a song called Carl Carlson.Steve came by with his guitar and put chords to it,and thus an early incarnation of The Skeleton Crew was born.The proposed band was still nameless at that point,and got many suggestions for names from friends and family,including Magic Goats,Random Punk,and Spontaneous Existence.Thost were all deemed horrible,and the band opted to dub themselves The Skeleton Crew,a name they found on a magnet.The band at the time was comprised of Matt and Steve on guitar,and Brian on bass.The band still lacked a drummer.They began looking for one everywhere they could,and had a few replies,but they just weren't right for the band.Finally Brian bought a drumset of his own,and Steve switched over to bass,while Matt stayed on guitar.The trio played for awhile together,and after a few months Hadin Lemery joined the band,he played bass,putting Steve back on guitar.They quartet played for awhile,but tensions rose in the band.On September 26,2003,Brian left the band.Hadin took over on drums,leaving Steve to play bass once again.One month later,on October 25,the latest form of The Skeleton Crew played their first show,and are now working on their first E.P.,tentatively titled "The Guess What E.P.".

We play live as often as we can.We play basically anywhere,house shows,clubs,community centers,legion halls,etc.

Everyone writes in the band,so we all bring our own influences.You can hear the influence of bands like NOFX,Rancid,Minor Threat, Casualties,and Guttermouth in our songs.
