Before forming in May, 2004, each of the future members of The Side Effects was involved in unfulfilling musical projects and wanted to find a more satisfying project. After a chance meeting and the subsequent discovery of a common musical and political vision, they decided to form The Side Effects! A brand new band dedicated to activist politics, they believe music should convey a strong message while at the same time, retain a sense of humor.
