The Serfs play an irreverent blend of Irish Rebel tunes, popular bar covers and satiric originals.
Band/artist history
The Serfs (also known as Dagny Taggart and the Looters or in some places Tarragon) play an irreverent blend of Irish rebel and bar music with rock standards and satiric originals. The origins of The Serfs are shrouded in Celtic mystery. According to legend the original Serfs were a race of people called the Druids who no one knows who they were or what they were doing but they left their legacy hewn into the living rocks of Stonehenge. Yet another legend ascribes the origin of the Serfs to a shadowy figure called Pete or sometimes "Judo Pete". This figure gathered together a company of heroes to fight the forces of sobriety. They took on the name "The Serfs" symbolizing their fellowship. The legends are unclear but at some point Pete was seduced by the soberside and for a time the fellowship was broken only to later arise again to combat the forces of evil.
