The RetroKicks
We are a studio band from manchester UK aiming to put out a free powerpop/pop song..guitars of course..every month..coz we just lurrrve this music. Martin Davies is resident bass player at the world famous cavern club in Liverpool with The Shakers,while Jeff Weston is a well known Manchester guitarist. We've known each other for over 20 years now.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Martin and Jeff have known each other for over 20 years and have played all over the UK in various bands..Reunited now in the studio, Martin is a veteran of live music, having done over 2,000 gigs..find him at the Cavern Club in Liverpool every weekend with the fantastic Shakers..Jeff is back in to music after a long shoulder injury and the Fender and Gretsch he owns are rockin again in his capable hands
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
No plans at the moment..Martin ( myself)..way too busy at he Cavern Club 2-3 times a weekend..This is a work in progress...so you never know!
