The Reservoir
From the mind of emcee Desmond comes the side-project entitled "The Reservoir". The porject is composed of Desmond himself, partner-in-rhyme Leicester (pronounced Lester) the Las Vegas-based duo "Fake Pretenders" (Clark Taft + Brandon Tracy), Cleveland emcee Ology, and turntablist DJ Pioneer.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
The group began with just one, Desmond. Desmond went out on vacation in Vegas and happen to come across two emcees, The Fake Pretenders. They talked for a while and decided to work togeher on some upcoming projects. When the first recordiing sessions began, the three emcees brought in some of there friends to join in (Leicester, Ology, DJ Pioneer). And from there The Reservoir was born.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Not yet. Sorry.
Your musical influences
So many. To name a few, though: Jeru The Damaja, Hieroglyphics, Lightheaded, DJ Babu, Company Flow, Aesop Rock, Slum Village, Eminem, Black Thought. The list goes on.
What equipment do you use?
A lot of things, from Fuity Loops to turntables to microphones, etc. Anything we need in the studio to make the song, we use.
Anything else?
We currently are having trouble with some of our equipment, so you won't be able to hear our voices, but only the instrumentals. We'll get back to you when this problem is rectified.
