I have several influences for many reasons.
Devin The Dude-cuz he talks about his life, and makes great music
Andre 3000-he orders his music in a genious way. He is like...Prince. totally outstanding.
Missy- She is a female producer with a unique sound
Beyonce-She keeps on her grind
Donny Hathaway- He put his soul in his music
Ghostface Killah- He paints lyrical pictures so detailed u gotta listen twice
JayZ-i love his delivery, he switches it up
Lil Wayne- he is a freestyle monster
Tupac-He was not afraid to be a rapper and a poet
KRS1- He originated the rapper/poet
and the list really goes on quite a bit more.
What equipment do you use?
I am a protools engineer, i like the AKG 2000 mic. But the blue works magic with me too. I love vintage tube amps, my fav is the Avalon. I dream for a Neve. I like to record at night flight, but really as long as the equipment is good and the mood is right i'm trying to record something.
