(The Real) Abstract Thought
We are the band Abstract Thought and we are actually a full band. I saw another A.T. on here but its just a guy who was tryin to be a rapper. We are a three piece rock band the likes of which is the finest in Wisconsin. We do however play all genres in any given show you could hear us playing funk, hard rock/metal, jazz, blues. All forms of music for the most part are fair game for us. A little over a year ago we recorded a really awesome professional studio album entitled "Peices of Then and Now". We are currently in a process of branching out in promotion of our album and getting our music heard. Looks like the next album will be made after summer of this year(2005) Keep checking out our site www.AbstractThoughtMusic.com to check out when we're playing next and where U can come see us. Rock on and let the music set you free.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Well, it 2005, and with every changing year it seems that a new lineup just HAS to be made; and without fail, we have a new drummer. Our longtime drummer and good friend Nic Fugate has decided it's time for him to move on. We're all sure he'll do wonderful things. As for Max and Ricky, they're still goin at it. Our new drummer is an absolutely incredible drum prodigy by the name of Bill Repavich. A style much akin to Tony Royster Jr. Bill has a lot of great ideas, a great personality and above all the chops to totally blow you away. It's February right now and sometime possible post-summer the band hopes to record the newest studio album. Abstract Thought still continues to play regularly to great reviews so please stop by our site at www.AbstractThoughtMusic.com and see when and where you can see us playing next. Thanks for your support, rock on and let the music set you free.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Yes we play live all throughout the Midwest and we love every second of it...thats where all the real magic is made. Playing out itself is very special because it gives us a chance to do what we love....with each other...it's a very special thing to share with the people closest to you.
Your musical influences
Our biggest influences are in no apparent order: Alice In Chains,Mad Season,Santana,Tool,System of a Down,The Red Hot Chili Peppers,Pink Floyd,SRV etc. If you can imagine we sound like a mix of all these artists i guess. The best way to put it tho is that we sound like us. Abstract Thought.
