The Random Tangents
Andrew: The Random Tangents is a band trying all genres of music and having fun doing it.
Nathan: Hiya, thanks for coming.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Andrew: We are just three guys that have been friends for a long time that got together one day and started making some music.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Andrew: We have had two concerts so far and are looking for more.
Nathan: Most bands start off as live bands, and we're just now getting there. We've played no shows yet, but have a few coming up. I don't really know yet what's going to turn into our regular our regular place, it could be a coffee shop or a clubhouse or an abandoned house or a street corner. I'm looking forward to it and I like it. I'm really not worried a bit about making mistakes. I probably will I just don't think it is a big deal. I am however concerned with equipment. I mean I'll have a backup but still no one wants to snap strings, especially multiple times. Also my amp has been having this problem where it will suddenly just cut out sometimes. You can understand how this makes me a bit nervous.

What equipment do you use?
Andrew: Mapex Mars Pro Series Drum Set, Ziljian Cymbals, Korg SG pro X keyboard, 2 15'' Yamaha speakers, Yamaha EMX 2000 powered mixer, Yamaha DTX electonic drum set.
Nathan: Especially for techno or electronica, what kind of ignorant garbage is that? Equipment is very important to guitar music, and I know many guitarists choose their guitar because guitarists they like choose that guitar. I believe you really can tell a great deal about a band based on what kind of instruments they use.
I use a Fender Japanese Jazzmaster, Fender Mexican Stratocaster and Ibanez Gio through a Fender Twin Reverb 1965 Reissue. My pedals are a Big Muff Pi, Boss DS-1 Distortion, Boss Chorus, Boss OC-2 Octave and Ibanez analog delay.
Anything else?
Andrew: I just want to keep making music for as long as possible.
