No band in America will ever outwork The Profits. When the band began as two street performers in Madison in 2002, the founding memebers of The Profits, John Paul Roney and Mike Drohomyreky realized that it's easy to write off a band based solely on genre or ability, but what nobody can deny is a band that will work it's fingers to the bone to be heard. Since then, The Profits have not only been dubbed the hardest working independent band in America, but have been recognized as Best Overall Artist, Best Acoustic Artist, and Best Vocal Ensemble by the Madison Music Awards, were recently featured in EA Sports' NCAA Football '06 as well as opening for such bands as The Violent Femmes, Blessid Union of Souls, Blue Merle, and The Pat McGee Band.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
We are on tour all over the midwest. We spend a week in a city making sure the word is out before we play a show there. It has resulted in a lot of sold out shows our first time in markets, and alsmot every time we return to a market we have to graduate to the next size venue to house the fans. It has been the most rewarding few years of our lives.
