the prisoner's dilemma is an instrumental rock band from Washington, DC. Together since February 2002, they have earned comparisons to such bands as Mogwai, Fugazi, and Don Caballero. the prisoner's dilemma's sound combines the calculated anarchy of math rock with the melodies and textures of noise rock. In July 2002, the band took a few days to record four songs. Later that month, on July 27th, Outside DC Records released a (self-titled) EP of the material, for which the band continually fails to get enough copies of as they've repeatedly sold out. The band has played numerous shows in the metro-Washington area, and has booked multiple shows out of state as well. the prisoner's dilemma has quickly become known for their amazing live shows.theresalynne's station
