Spawned on the banks of the Medway, during the eighties when Medway had a unique garage and trash scene, The Pressure played the towns alongside a number of other similarly motivated bands (many of whom were very good), each reputed for their originality in an era that can only be described as the days of "Medwaybeat". This is some of the unheard contributions from the Pressure that were never retailed.
The Pressure are:
George Hargrave - Guitar and Vocals
John Kennedy - Bass and Vocals
John Mace - Keyboards and Vocals
Jez Yates - DrumsBand/artist history
We were just a group of guys who got together to bang out something we liked. We played alot both home and abroad, and had a really good time doing it. We split around 85.
It was a great era for bands in the Medway Towns. We are still in touch and are considering a 30th anniversary reunion gig!!Have you performed in front of an audience?Used to regularly play in and around Medway in the 80's
Your musical influences
Medwaybeat - All the bands in Medway kind of inspired each other. What equipment do you use?
Old Stuff. It was cheap and we were young.Anything else?
Some really great bands came out of Medway - check them all out.Hi Lads, this is great!! The main riff in Don’t Cry Wolf is really addictive. What happened to you guys?!? I heard on the grape vine there was a video of you lot in action kicking around until someone’s girlfriend's mum recorded coronation street over it…………. what??
Is there a chance you might reform and release this album or can I already buy it?
Dave JHi there The Pressure'
just listened to 'Witches' nice piece of upbeat brit pop, very modern feel to the song and well structured, well done guys !!. it would be great if you had the time to have a listen to our song 'Your Life' all the best Tam & the Giants.I enjoyed Pull Out The Plug, the changes were just right and the scary organ sound
really did it right. A powerful catchy rock tune which shouldn't be missed!!
I'm on soundclick also....just type JOHN PAUL IMMORDINO and let the fun begin.
