The Precipice is a heavy metal band which combines doom riff metal with Chaos AD/Roots era Sepultura with some death metal leanings. The style that results is what we call Stoner Death Psychadelica.

Band/artist history

Precipice is

Gabe Saladino: vocals, guitar, sampling

Mike Castillo: drums, percussion, vocals, beats

Mike and I started writing material for what was to be Precipice in the spring of 2004, though we had been in other bands together and have been jamming even before that. The material was harder and faster than anything we had done previously. Before we could get recordings done, Mike had to take a leave of abscence and when he returned we didn't pick up Precipice again until recently (spring 2005). When we did though, we did in force, recording all the stuff we had previously along with a few new bits and pieces: enough for an album. The longest deepest song we had done thus far was "Absolution-Introspection" and as such, we entitled the album after it. As of now (late spring 2005) we are tying up lose ends with Abso-Intro and starting work on our next album, which promises to be deeper and more solid than our first.
