The Poet of Quinlan Road
Welcome to QUINLAN ROAD... Home of The Poet of Quinlan Road aka Christopher Austin...
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
"A long, long time ago... and I can still remember when that music used to make me smile... And I knew that if I had my chance... I could make those people dance... and maybe... they'd be happy for awhile" Don McLean - "American Pie"
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I write and do mostly recording studio work these days... and I love every second of it!
Your musical influences
Todd Rundgren (Something/Anything A Wizard, A True Star) James Taylor (everything he's ever done) The Eagles (100%) Carole King (her songs aren't just part of my memory, but are very much part of my soul) and the list would go on forever...
What equipment do you use?
Standard sound equipment... Apple Computers... ElectroVoice Mics... Fender Stratocaster... Takamine Acoustic... Roland Keyboards... and learn to listen very, very closely... my hands... imagination... and my heart...
Anything else?
"May God bless you forever... Keep the faith... and NEVER, EVER stop singing and playing music" "Yes, music is the universal language, but POETRY is the language of the HEART" Christopher Austin aka The Poet of Quinlan Road
