The Phlegm Fatales are Rob Clarke, James Gardner and Chazz Hartley.
Rob and James had been friends for years and had played in a band called 'In Fair Verona', which ended when James went to uni. As James was approaching the end of his tenure at university, both of the guys decided to have a jam, and see if there was still something there to form a band with.
Chazz was drumming in an ill-fated band called the Aggrophobes, which featured James' little brother on vocals. After playing at the Mitre Tavern for Rob's birthday, he was approached by Rob and James to see if he fancied joining them in a 'musical venture' once James had finished Uni.
A practice was set up to take place before James returned to university for his final stint, just to see if there was anything between the 3 of us, and to see if the band 'worked'. The first practice went very well, culminating in the first version of what is now known as 'Turn up the Temperature'.
When James finally finished University, the band began. Since that point we've done quite a few gigs. With an ever growing list of songs and a recording date set for our first official release (that's right, OFFICIAL), The Phlegm Fatales are planning a tour next year, hopefully incorporating dates abroad.
Vive la Phlegms!
