the pet ghost project
The Pet Ghost recordings are created in their entirety by multi-instrumentalist Justin Stivers. At 22 he has created another seamless melodic monster with his new album. “The Great Satisfactory” (P.G’s 2nd l.p) which is littered with a dizzying swirl of angular guitar riffs, lush array of textures and varying song structure that usually leaves the listener spinning. This bold new album mixes melodic qualities of The Pixies and The Apple Seed Cast, with the raw and versatile rock elements of a younger Modest Mouse and Neutral Milk Hotel.
Recorded in a small one-bedroom apartment in Seattle, WA, Justin has since lived and rocked in many a city. From the studio to the stage in cities like Seattle, Olympia, Portland and New York (a few on the list) where this songer sing writer has continued to perform, write and record. Songs of introspective road trips, conflicts of human nature, the hectic city life, small town woes, tied together with its dreamlike complexities, makes this band’s artistry a fluid and ever-changing interest both on stage and in the studio.
