The Peppermoths

What is the point of 'The Peppermoths'? Who knows? In the ravages of time probably nowt, but to it's members, an outlet, a voice in which to attempt to counteract- in some minute way- the doctrine that Socialism, as a valid political and economic theory is impotent- for starters, by educating people that Socialists do not want to prevent people from making money, but expect those who do, to contribute to the Society that helps them earn that money, or to try and ensure that all schools must be of mixed Religions/race/sex, integration from a young age will make the world a happier, safer place, or just to raise a smile. Things have changed since the band formed. The bubble has burst, but people seem to be in denial, acting as if nothing has happened. There is not enough being done to right the inequalities created over the previous three decades (now four decades)- the haves are still getting richer at the expense of the have nots. Meet the band: 3gGene on Guitar and vox- works in Computing zzzzzzzz Travis Bickle on Guitar- Travis is a Taxi Driver, an inquisitive and angry young man who distrusts a system that rewards greed at the expense of everything else Yosser Hughes on Bass- Yosser is unemployed after being laid off from his Temp labouring job. He is now homeless too after his six year old daughter was found guilty of possessing a stolen can of Baked Beans plundered during the 'riots'. As a result Yosser was kicked out of his flat. Kirk St. Moritz on Drums- Kirk is a drummer and loves it all..... Occasionally we have guest Noam Chomsky on maracas doing it like Bez!
