A comedy rock band that specializes in song parodies. Our biggest influence are The Cars. Our other major influence is of course, Weird Al Yankovic. We also do original songs yet we try our best to not take ourselves seriously.Band/artist history
The Oars started when David Heline Jr. began to tinker with a guitar. When he started to learn how to play he enlisted help from his brother Steven and together they would come up with parodies off the tops of their heads. David then purchased a computer studio and began to write down some of his parodies and original songs. Together they began to record each song...one by one...and here they are today.Have you performed in front of an audience? Not at the moment. Just starting out so hopefully there will be some live dates in the future.
Your musical influences
The Cars are our biggest influence. The greatest band...EVER. Prince, The Cure, Weird Al Yankovic and just about any good 80's song. The 80's are a huge influence on our band. What equipment do you use?
An acoustic guitar, a cheap keyboard, usually our bodies to make percussion sounds, and computer technology to program certain parts to songs.Contact
