The Music Geeks- ‘TMG’ formed in what was a twist of fate. When Nigerian born Producer Ola ‘Lekan’ Ajala procured some speakers advertised on Craigslist, he did not expect to be introduced to his musical soul mate and future production partner, Peruvian Giancarlo ‘GC’ Castillo. A short stint in GC’s home studio was enough to seal the deal between the talented two. TMG have been working together since 2010, steadily collecting credit and acclaim. Driven by the ethos that music with mainstream appeal can carry a positive message, this ambitious duo have their sights set at the top.
Combining a wealth of experience producing critically acclaimed records and drawing influence from fields as diverse as Latin American, Puerto Rican Reggae Dancehall and Indie Nigerian Gospel, TMG produce and co-write songs for R&B, Hip-Hop and Dance-Pop Artists. Their first joint production mb. OMG’s The Fingerprint Experience LP developed entirely in GC’s home studio was nationally recognized and earned the group a much coveted opening spot for N*E*R*D in an exclusive New York City show.
