The Morrisons

Originally formed in 1986 and enjoyed several vinyl releases between 1986 and 1988 including the John Peel plugged "Listen To Your Heart" flexi. The band re-formed in 2004 and have recorded and released two new CD albums and a retrospective on The Golden Pathway label (available mail order from www.goldenpathway.co.uk). Discography: - 1986 Flexi disc single Listen To Your Heart and Everytime I Open The Bottle (MOR 1) no longer available. 1987 Playroom Discs four track EP Listen To Your Heart, Lament, Travellin Boy and Storm (PLAY D2/12) no longer available. 1987 or 1988 Rewind compilation cassette (WIND 001) features the song Too Long (bands also featured include Mighty Mighty, Long Tall Texans, Ever, Bradford, Cumbersome, Call The Man Back, and John Dowie) no longer available. 1987 or 1988 Uncle Arthurs Pop Parlour compilation cassette features the song Travellin' Boy (bands also featured include This Poison!, The Grooveyard, North Of Cornwallis, Bluetrain, The Raw Herbs, The BMX Bandits, Ever, The Doris Days, The Rain, Metro Trinity, The Crimpolene Explosion, The Corn Dollies, A Riot Of Colour, The Househunters, Some Other Day, The Waltones, The Poppyheads and The Sullivans) no longer available. 1987 or 1988 or 1989 Now That's Righteous compilation cassette features The Morrisons (bands also featured include The Driscolls, The Beat Hotel, The Wilderness Children, The Presidents, Mousefolk, The Reigning Days, Poke It With A Stick, The Pilgrims, Rubber Base Angel, The Becketts, The Magic Roundabouts, Jason Smart, The Haywains, The Lovers Madly) no longer Available. 2003 Playroom Discs version of Listen To Your Heart included on the CD compilation album The Sound Of Leamington Spa Volume 3 (FST 050) available on Firestation Records. 2004 CD album Songs From The South Of England available on Firestation Records (FST 053) comprising 11 demos, 3 Playroom Discs EP tracks and the 2 flexi disc tracks all spanning the period 1986 to 1988. 2005 CD album Psycho Surfin featuring 12 new Morrisons songs recorded in 2004 available on The Golden Pathway (Volume 16). 2007 CD album Electricar featuring 15 new Morrisons songs recorded in 2006 available on The Golden Pathway (Volume 26). 2007 CD album Brighter Days featuring a mixture of demo's, rehearsal's and live recordings from the period 1986 to 1988 available on The Golden Pathway (Volume 17). 2007 3 Track CD single Looking For Jeanie, Slow Dawning and Cranberry Street available on Cloudberry Records (030) (www.cloudberryrecords.com).
