THE MEAN has been making hip hop music since 1992. He is a Producer/Emcee who holds the art of HipHop music sacred. THE MEAN writes serious songs and is serious about his music but is not to be taken serious all of the time, as he is known to throw curves with his sarcasm and cynical sense of humor. He has a distinct sound created, molded and shaped by the influences around him.
In May 2005, he released a seven song EP under the name MattyClipz which has received much acclaim and endorsement. This EP was released under his own NeverHasBeen Recordings stamp, in distinct correlation with the Poorly Drawn People crew of Providence, RI. Please make contact if interested in this release.
