We are 'The Lowlanders' and although we see ourselves as a countryrockband, we use an approach that differs from many other countrybands. We play firm, and with a very tasty sauce of blues, southern rock and rock & roll we bring a lot of energy. Also we're no stanger to taking a well-known song and giving it a new or different flavor...
Our leadsinger Richard, together with Peter on the fiddle and Johan behind the pedalsteel form the solid front, supported by Henry and Martijn as a tight rhythm-tandem. Add to that the two top-notch guitarists Aldo and Jaap, and Armand behind the keyboards, and this band is totally complete.
The Lowlanders take you for a thundering trainride through the American landscapes, and treat you to a surprising, amusing and danceable experience!

At the end of october 2006 a couple of musicians get together with the idea to make countrymusic reknown to a new audiencein Europe. This results in the band The Lowlanders. Party and fun is The Lowlanders main purpose, who walk a different path than most countrybands. Steady country surrounded by a healthy dose of blues, southern rock and rock & roll describe their sound the best. Partycountry as they like to call it themselves. The line-up consists of seasoned musicians, which have already earned their marks with numerous bands and artists. The Lowlanders take you on a fast-paced trainride through the American landscapes and meanwhile tell about relationships, partying, booze and social issues. Engaging the battle with the mainstream thought about countrymusic, The Lowlanders with their swift and driving songs bring you an energetic dance- and partyexperience with the just amount of humor and style.
