The Juke Joint Rollers
The Juke Joint Rollers play good-time, dirty low-down-in-the-alley rockin blues.
Several things set J.J.R apart from the blues-rock guitar-slinger mimics. Their repertoire majors on Funky Grooves, R&B, Swing and Boogie. They mix styles, tempos and dynamic levels to reach their listeners, tapping sources like Howlin Wolf, Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker, and many more..
J.J.R honour the performers who influenced them and share a love for blues guitarists and harp players such as Albert King, B.B. King, Big Walter Horton, James Cotton and Otis Rush. Decades later, they are faithful to the pioneers who were their original inspiration.
So when they grab the note, the note that makes you happy, and you see it go through the audience and they're happy, too, then you know they've hit the right note at the right time.
..and they can also write pretentious stuff like this...;-)
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
