The Jon Caspi Collective
A long standing figure in the college radio and NJ music scenes, Jon Caspi is well known to central NJ. His first solo CD, "This Town" was released in Feb. 2005 and has since been played on over 170 radio stations across the U.S. His music has been featured on MTV and in films. He is also known as the lead singer and songwriter for national acts, Boss Gremlin and Bouncing Off Bob.
Have been described as "alternative Asbury Park": Amercian pop rock with influences ranging from Springsteen to Third Eye Blind to Buffalo Tom to Green Day to the Who and Blur (OK, I guess the last two are not American).
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Jon has a long history in the NJ, NYC rock club and national college radio scenes. With the bands Bouncing Off Bob and Boss Gremlin, he has had national releases that have appeared on the national college radio charts, received national press, had music featured on MTV and in films, and performed across the country.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Yes. Mostly in central NJ.
