A long standing figure in the college radio and NJ music scenes, Jon Caspi is well known to central NJ. His first solo CD, "This Town" was released in Feb. 2005 and has since been played on over 170 radio stations across the U.S. His music has been featured on MTV and in films. He is also known as the lead singer and songwriter for national acts, Boss Gremlin and Bouncing Off Bob.
Have been described as "alternative Asbury Park": Amercian pop rock with influences ranging from Springsteen to Third Eye Blind to Buffalo Tom to Green Day to the Who and Blur (OK, I guess the last two are not American).
Jon has a long history in the NJ, NYC rock club and national college radio scenes. With the bands Bouncing Off Bob and Boss Gremlin, he has had national releases that have appeared on the national college radio charts, received national press, had music featured on MTV and in films, and performed across the country.
Springsteen, Third Eye Blind, Green Day, Paul Westerberg, Buffalo Tom, Wallflowers, the Who, Gene Vincent, Buddy Holly, Elvis, and of course the Beatles.
great tune well recorded
jimHi !
While you got lots of time...please go checking our music, too. Keep on doing your thing !Wow, I love your influences - I love your tunes. On my soundclick page, I said that my favorite place in the world is anywhere on a New Jersey boardwalk and that's because there is no other place in the world with greater music and you guys represent that perfectly. You've got a great original sound while still being familiar because of where you come from. "Love Fades Away" absolutely motivated me just about as much as listening to "Darkness On The Edge Of Town" the first time. I'm now a huge Jon Caspi Collective fan - BIGTIME. Thanks for posting your stuff here. GREAT JOB!!!37,509 views
