The Jenova Strain
The Jenova Strain is a solo project created and performed by the Singer/Frontman Joey Murder of the Sleeping Cables. Inspired by his Poetic Autobiography "The Inner Workings Behind the Murder". Joey wants to share the many thoughts hidden in the dark corners of his mind.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
The Jenova Strain is my solo project, I am still doing stuff with "Sleeping Cables" but mostly I am doing this project so that I can have full freedom of my creativity rather than work on someone else Ideas.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I have played out many times in prior bands and projects and love doing so; yet with this project there is a bunch of mixed sounds and distortion levels so I want to have things ready so once I get back up there, I can be fully prepared to entertain as well as blow the minds of the audience.
Your musical influences
Well until the age of 15 I kinda listened to the MTV Rock bands you heard on the radio, yet I have always been fond of bands that might not be that famous but stood out such as Chemblab, NIN, Stabbing Westward, The Dreaming, Filter, Pigface... you get the general idea.
What equipment do you use?
I have a Macbook Pro I7, an Axiom 46 Midi keyboard, Shure 57 Microphone and a guitar/vocal pedal for those fun tracks.
