“imagine Echo & The Bunnymen massaging Jim and William Reid’s lysergic vision into an aural orgasm. Sound good? It is” (Logo Magazine, January 2004). Formed in London in 2002, The Hotels are Tim Buckland (guitar), Shaun Cairns (bass), James Machin (guitar), Warren Peddie (drums) and Louis Warner (vocals). Their sound has been described as “a potent brew of melancholy, menace and driving guitars” (TNT, 2003) and they draw their inspiration from bands such as The Pixies, My Bloody Valentine, Interpol and Lift to Experience. The Hotels have also recently provided the music for a short horror film “Kensington Gore” (Dolly Films, 2003). The Hotels are currently busy recording the "Theory" EP, to be released on Sentient Records on July 5th. www.thehotelsmusic.com
Band/artist history
The Hotels formed in 2002 in London, after a few false starts in various rehearsal rooms, they found their groove and have been playing clubs and venues in London.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Yes, London and around....we're about to head out into other UK cities and then Italy.
Your musical influences
We like the Pixies, Interpol, Lift to Experience, Mogwai, AC/DC, that kind of thing I guess.
