The High Plains Drifters
The High Plains Drifters - not quite musical experiments but far from sense
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
GarageBand and an iMic thingy for my guitar allowed me to record my own stuff. Problem is, I have nothing to record, so this is what resulted.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
No, nothing live. I am a guitarist for hire, and I like it that way. This is just my one-man-band thing that keeps me entertained during really slow days.
Your musical influences
I've listened to a lot (maybe too much) Led Zeppelin and a great deal of songs by Jack White and Josh Homme. I love Rush, and try very hard to play as tastefully as Alex Lifeson. Lately, I've really gotten into Neil Young and listen to all things Mastodon.
What equipment do you use?
An old Les Paul-style guitar that has seen better days (Volume knobs don't work and I really abuse it sometimes), an old acoustic guitar (anyone heard of a brand called EVA?), Dunlop Cry Baby wah (currently broken), Boss DS-2 Turbo Distortion, DigiTech's older RP50 multi-effects pedal, Griffin iMic, a GrooveFactory 20 watt(?) amp, GarageBand, and a Mac Pro.
