Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
The Grins have been writing and recording there own brand of music for over the last 2O years, and while there have been many people who have made awesome contributions to the making of Grin Music, there is always one element about the music that always remains the same..... The music somehow, some way, is always unmistakingly....with out a doubt...... Grin Music...........
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
The Grins play live everywhere, from Lili's to State Theater. In September of 2k2 they were the backing band for Jackie Chan on the Mitch Albom show. You can hear the clip at http://www.thegrins.com
Your musical influences
We are always compared to XTC and Elvis Costello, and while that's great company to be in, we grew up listening to tons of great music including Jayhawks, the Police, Nick Lowe, Squeeze, Joe Jackson....just to name a few
