The Grand Fury
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
The Grand Fury got its start at Five Towns College. Ben and JR met in the fall of '99 and formed a hardcore band, Release. When Release was in its final stages, Ben and JR decided to start a new band, one that played music that was not restricted by the classification of the "hardcore" category, they wanted to be in a rock band. In order to do this they started recruiting members.
The first person they recruited was Kevin. He had a class with Ben and JR, and they started jamming together. They grabbed Pete a little while later, just after his former band split up. Now the fearsome foursome needed a drummer. Up to this point, JR had been playing drums until they could find a suitable drummer. After auditioning many people, the band found someone who fit their sound, and Teddy was in. As soon as it was possible, the band began the difficult process of recording their five-song CD.
The band continues to play shows at local bars and clubs on Long Island, giving their fans a great show, every time. The Grand Fury plans to go all the way, to be rock stars. They see nothing in their way, and will do what ever they must to make it big.
