The Glens of Angus
We are a group of Film Makers based in and around Kirriemuir. We make films by strapping a video camera to the front of our Vauxhall Nova and then driving around the Glens of Angus at high speed. We then edit the fillums and add soundtracks.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
We all went to The Harris in Dundee and when we left we still hung about together but this time we had a car and time on our hands....dangerous.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
No. Though we try to record things with as live a spirit as possible, even if it means a few takes and leaving in a few mistakes!
Your musical influences
UK trance (circa 1988-89). The voice of Mr William McArthur Mackenzie, late of Auchterhouse and Dundee. Alan Rankine, Barry Adamson and John Barry.
What equipment do you use?
Yamaha analogue strings, Korg analogue synth, yamaha drums, fender telecaster Guitar, Fender Mustang guitar, Zoom effects, Teac 8-track and loadsa leads!
