The Gemini Program
The Gemini Program is an Alt-Power-Pop band based in Dallas, TX.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
The Gemini Program is a four-piece band whose members include: Lead Singer Danny Skinner, whose background includes extensive studies in Spanish-style classical guitar, voice training and music composition. Danny sought to form the band START after formerly being a member of the rock/pop band Bluegroove. Bass Player Bert Hamlin, formerly of the bands Quickserv Johnny and Atom 12, was inspired by Danny’s music and rejoined the Dallas music scene with this project after taking a break in 1998. Gabe Muzquiz took the role of Drummer for START, having played in Bluegroove with Danny as playing formerly with the band Slow Roosevelt. Gabe is currently a music student at the University of North Texas and plays in several jazz bands in the Dallas area. The youngest member of the band is guitarist Drew Mellow who makes his debut in the Dallas music scene. Drew is a self-taught musician who started playing guitar when he was 14 years old and states that he was “blown away” by Skinner’s music. START is now The Gemini Program. Same band, same goals, fresh outlook.
