Fist of Fury Fist of Fury

This tune started off as a disco track, but then when Mark wrote the riff it ended up sounding more like a scene from a Bruce Lee movie.

Welcome to the home of the North-west's premier club band! The best new act since Frankie Goes to Hollywood, The Shamen, and the soundtrack to 'Exterminator 2'.... New York Times.
Band/artist history
The Funboys was formed in 2005 with the release of "gay club". Do not think this name rips off "Gay Bar" by electric 7 or whatever - we had it first! Tracks such as "Sex Shop" and "Penrith Cinema" soon followed. Shortly after, during an intense period of unimaginativity, "Gay Gay Gay" was released as a solo track by Matthew, constructed using a simple computer program and a handful of samples. The latest track came out of the blue, as a tribute to the 'Lethal Weapon' guitar sound, and it is the last track to date.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
No. We fear the crowds would be so excited we would be crushed like ants.
Your musical influences
Frankie Goes to Hollywood, The Shamen, soundrack to "Exterminator II", sountrack to "Lethal Weapon", and the cheesy cover music they used to play at Penrith cinema.
What equipment do you use?
Guitar, MIDI keyboard, 2 PCs, Audition, Reason 2.5, Wavelab, CDex, AXS.
Anything else?
Unfinished projects: Sex party, Ride my Rocket, Ball Blower, Welcome to the 1980s, Mario Van Peebles - greatest actor on earth, Cannibal Holocaust, I Like big butts, and many more.
