The collision of two artistic minds marked the first steps of Josh Thomas and Tim Huwaldt's musical journey as The Final Hour. Through innovation and unique ideas they were able to come together to express their personal life experiences through music. It was these everyday endeavors that help shape the band to what it is today. As the good guys who finished last, they shared a bond allowed a rare musical chemistry to develop. With Josh's hip-hop oriented background he was able to gain further knowledge through dance. He shares this talent through break-dancing, hip hop, jazz, ballette and modern pop. He has been involved in numerous dance programs ranging from Movmnt Dance Company to C.S.P.S. Also, his recently conjoined group Intermix. Tim at a young age accepted the challenges that music had laid out for him. At the small robust age of 3 it is said that he wrote his first song. From the guitar lessons that he never received he was able to gain a knowledge uninfluenced by a trained professional. The study of music theory and piano helped to round out the palette of musical tools necessary to write with feeling, rather than knowledge. The two were united in the small town of Cedar Rapids Iowa to realize that many of their ideas, visions, and convictions were mutual, and such served as inspiration to ignite the artistic explosion that occurred during their first visit to the studio together. So as the journey unfolds to reveal an obscure future, one simple task is asked of the fans and listeners of their music: do not listen only with your ears, but also with your heart and mind. Only then will the two artist's hopes, dreams, fears and let-downs live in a manner in which was intended by two truly talented individuals.
