While the influence that blues music has had on the band is undeniable, the Fatbacks' sound draws from a much deeper pool of musical interests. The Fatbacks play rock-n-soul music, pure and simple, raw and not calculated. The quartet's powerful originals and tastefully selected covers reflect their appreciation for some of the old soul, blues and R&B recordings while keeping their music fresh and relevant to many different audiences. Tight, soulful songs that'll make you shake your thang. The Fatbacks consists of: Thor Platter on guitar and vocals; Eric Sullivan (Sully everywhere but his birth certificate) on guitar and lead vocals, Tom "Shamus" Mullaney on bass, and "the Mighty Joe" Peluso on skins. Come out to a show... and get real paid!

Hey,
High is an awesome song, I have been listening to it on my station for months and it's still awesome. Just thought I would pop over and show some love...
Amy

Hey Fatbacks! Your stuff ain't to bad either!!! Rocksh***Loud
Thanks for dropping by my site. Yup, I do all my recording. On Coppice,I recorded the Acoustic guitars with my SM58 into Protools and then added the bass and electric guitars direct. My next tune will be a Blues. I'll let you know when it's up.
Keep on rocking!

@shamus 2 tone
Just listened to your first 2 songs on your musicpage....one word...WOW! You guys on those 2 songs, can play 2 totally different styles of blues so wonderfully. First song, High....vocals so totally feel like Tab Benoit, then on the 2nd song....It Lives Wit Chu...kinda felt like Lenny Kravitz gone blues, or like Cry of Love....vocals are kickin it, rest of the band is tight as well. Sure hope you have some more tunes on here again someday, you guys rock and keep on keepin on! ;) ~strummergurl~
