Welcome! The Enders are a band open to anyone and everyone who loves music. We'll always have free mp3s and consider our fans the most driving and inspiring thing about playing in a fuckin' rock band. We try to do our own thing the best way we can, and we love you all for digging it as much as you do. There's nothing more exciting than a room full of independent thinkers, excitement in the air.
Also, thanks to Mikhail St.Denis of Montreal, Canada for his brilliant artwork.
Band/artist history
Originally formed in the winter of 2001, The Enders are composed mainly of two marching band geeks, one workaholic and a manic depressive gorrilla. Together they slap together loud rock music with pure strains of originality. These boys are in it for the long haul.
Each band member has unique and disparate musical tastes. Potash is influenced by Dream Theater, NIN and Incubus; Williams by Children of Bodom and The Temptations; Dietrich by The Smashing Pumpkins and Our Lady Peace; Schufrieder by RHCP and Miles Davis. Though often at the centre of heated and sometimes violent debates, these ranging stylistic differences also provide the artistic glue for The Enders' loud, thumping folk metal music.
The Enders have played many shows in the greater Atlanta area to mild acclaim. Their live show is renowned on the high school party circuit, and the band is quickly solidifying a formidable onstage presence. They are currently preparing a spring tour of the Southeast and a debut EP to be released independently in February 2005.
"Frankly, theres nothing more that I want to do with my life than play music," says guitarist/singer Kienan Dietrich, "and to share that music with everybody I can."
"This is my dream," confirms singer/guitarist Andy Potash.
Now that the band is enrolled in their own separate universities, they look forward to forging their own niche in todays hard rock environment. The Enders feel they are ready to head out into the music wilderness and try their hand at becoming one of North Americas great new bands.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
We play live as often as our schedules will allow. You'll see us a lot more around Atlanta, Athens, and other places around Georgia. It may sound egotistical, but we're gonna try and make a scene worth saving.
