The Drunky Gorilla Experience
It's just me, myself and I when it comes to this band thing. I have no producer making my beats, so I spend time finding the right beat from soundclick, and borrow a beat from someone that makes beats. I grew up in Milpitas, Ca where I first started trying to flow--this was around 1995. I spent my young adult years in San Jose, Ca fuckin around doing my thing, and now you can find me sweating it up in the central valley of California untill the next part of my journey in life takes hold.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Like I said; I grew up in Milpitas, did time in San jose, and now I'm in the Central Valley. My history is still being written.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I usually sit back in an accord and flow with the beat cds i made for hours honing my styles and skill with the mic.
Your musical influences
Sugarhill Gangs "Rappers Delight," Run DMC, N.W.A, 2 Live Crew, Lyricist lounge, The Grouch and Living Legends, Aesop Rock, Planet Asia, my brother, Outkast, Dr. Dre's beats, Snoop Dog's smoothness, Young Droop's flawless syllable breakers, The Grouchs simple truths, and on and on...much props to Too Short for giving the Bay Area its starting point.
What equipment do you use?
I use equipment taped together with duct tape/
Anything else?
You can say you're the dopest rapper, listen to all the thug music your ears can take, but that still doesn't make you the dopest rapper, and allow you to start believing you're thugging it cause you're listening to actors play the part of thug.
