The Doppler Shift
We like heavy music, we like mellow music. We like all the different gradients of attack that music can have, and all the different gradients of softness that music can have too. Our aim is to make music that we like, and to not fit ourselves into a neat little box for the world to see.Band/artist history
The Doppler Shift began as Waveform - a musical idea and experiment by Andrew Vernon, the founder of the band. He then recruited Andy Swan, the drummer, and they struck upon a similar wavelength and musical philosophy.Have you performed in front of an audience?No live performances are planned as of yet.
Your musical influences
Epic and progressive guitar driven music. Leaning towards atmosphere and emotion. Certainly not anti-catchiness though, nor are we against having hooks for the listener. We are open minded with our music.What equipment do you use?
Apple iMac. Bass guitar, electric guitar, drums, and whatever else is knocking about.Anything else?
We are still in the process of recording. Currently our tracks have electronically produced drums. Real drums are going to be put in soon.
