I offer this reply: I understand that people have differing views of what constitutes "rock n' roll" but please allow me to explain my perception and my reasoning for calling the Doomsters a rock n' roll band...
Rock n' roll is simple, rhythmic music often filled with energy. It has a definate connection to showmanship and unity between bands and fans. Rock n' roll is meant to be played in small venues with no laser shows and fireworks. When the focus is taken away from the purity of the simplistic music and put onto fancy, expensive equipment and spectacles, and the music itself becomes hell-bent on being more technical and complex than it needs to be it is no longer rock and roll.
