more edgy with a rock/Rap Flavor. We also added a multitask member to

The Dirt Farmers started out with Ben and Scott “Cornfield
and Spinoza." Both just old enough to not remember their year(s) spent in
the 70s. Met last year because their Girl friends were best friends. They
introduced them. Spinoza was currently doing music as a hobby on the
backburner to his bull riding career. His background in hip hop was very
thorough. He was raised and influenced by such rappers such as the Lootpack,
Nevamind, and Dialated peoples who are from his neighborhood in Oxnard/Ventura
Cali. Cornfield didn’t get his nickname till he moved to LA from Nebraska.
What started as a joke, stuck? Ben had been playing drums, bass, and
guitar since he was old enough to read. He had played in countless bands and
hip hop groups before even leaving Nebraska
After spending a good three
years in LA, Cornfield was playing in bands, DJing for a living and producing Rock,
Blues, and underground hip hop and doing the solo project "Cornfield Blues"
under his label GreenwiseRecords. Spinoza came by and laid a verse on one
of his hottest tracks. Neither of them took each other seriously until
this day. Both had many times in the spot light in the past, but there were
always disappointments and group differences that held them back. Finally,
two people that had the same goal and were as hungry for success as could
be. They went to freestyle battles, handed out many flyers, played any show
offered.
