Theres new word on the cold streets of metro Detroit. The streets are talkin and theyre sayin Goodfellas is the family. The 'Fellas came together almost 4 years ago. They were all aquaintences at first... friends by association. After meeting through mutual friends, they got closer than family. They would grind out together... sit around drinking, politic and talk about real life shit. They would talk about doing what it takes to eat when youre hungry in these streets... and the loyalty and respect it takes to feed youre family. Thats all weve wanted to do from the beginning... eat. We're just some fellas on the hustle. Thats what they called us, too... goodfellas. You know? They always called us some good fellas. Like you said to somebody:You're gonna like these guys. Theyre all right. Theyre some good fellas. You understand? They were good fellas. Wiseguys. It's the highest honor they can give you. It means you belong to a family and crew. It means that nobody can f - k around with you. It also means you could f - k around with anybody just as long as they aren't also a member. It's like a license to steal. It's a license to do anything. And with that power, the 'Fellas hit the city.
There are six made men in The Goodfellas family, plus man extended family members. First off its Yul J aka Big Homie, the enforcer of the family. He's 25 years old and has been rapping for five years. He wanted to start after listening to his favorites such as Biggie, Pun, Shyne, Beanie Siegel, and Rakim. He had always loved music, but these were the emcees that made Yul J want to put himself on paper. He brings a past full of things to write about, and with each track he elevates his style and flow. Everything he saw growing up has made him who he is today, and he has a story to tell. Secondly, we got Bleu. Bleu is only 23 years old and has been rapping since he was about 12. Growing up, he listened to Snoop, Dre, Redman, and the Wu-Tang Clan. These rap icons all inspired him to take his own try at making music. Even at an early age, Bleu was gettin blowed and blowin up cyphers. Since then, he's developed his style... matching witty wordplay and smooth charisma. He honestly kills any beat he touches, and he's really the most versitle of the entire group. You can catch him clownin' tracks, kickin' it with his peoples... prolly gettin' pissy drunk somewhere. Then there is Reggie Walker. Reg Walk is the oldest family member at 25 years old. His future was always about ballin until 6 years ago when he started freestylin with his boys. Since then, he has been in love wit this rap game. He brings those smooth rhymes at ballin speed... tryn to make that NBA money. Reggie is the straight mack of the group... this nigga is real sly... an if you don't watch him, he prolly already scooped up your girl. Its no wonder his influences are the classics, Biggie and Pac. The hustla of the family is Jack. Jay Jerkem aka J Hustle aka Black Castro aka Jack Baker is knee deep at 23 years olds. Jack been about that money since he could count it, takin any hustle he could get. He started rapping at 14 years old, and since then has put out a few underground hits. He says he loved listening to Jay-Z growing up, and that he draws influence from a lot of different music. One thing never changes though, Jay Jerk'em STAYS on the grind... flippin' flows like he's flippin' work. The business man of the family is YOUN GIANT aka Matty Fresh and is the youngest family member at 20 years old. He started off as just a hypeman, but has been rapping for about 4 years since. In that short time, he has started his own label, created an audio/visual production company, and released 2 solo albums. Now working with The Goodfellas, his career seems to be climbing even higher. His influences stretch from Jadakiss to TI, and his style transends all coasts. This boy is well connected and well respected. The last member of the family is J$ho. JShort aka Ronie has one of the hottest flows in the family, and does it all wit genuine ease. $ho is only 23 years old and been doin it for a little over 5 years now... and in that time, he was made himself in to one of the hottest niggas spittin in Mo Town. He is the energy of the 'Fellas, and brings an untouchable swagger to the group. Ronie is that truth forreal he spits ridiculous and has unmatched wordplay and lyrical ability.
They are talented indivudals, but together they are The Goodfellas.
