Death Apparatus is a Chicago based band featuring former members of the bands Three Star System, Books on Tape, and current touring member of Kill Hannah.
The band was formed in late 2008 and was called Three Star System at the time as a trio with friends Matt as drummer and bassist Rick. They played a fair amount of shows and then they all decided to end it but founding member and singer/songwriter Brian Wandtke decided to keep it going, ultimately changing the band name to Death Apparatus in late of 2009.
Brian recorded an Ep called Nothing is Picture Perfect in March of 2010 and released it in July of 2010. The Ep has a raw muddy hardcore punk feel and it has been well received from the fans having a consistent average of downloads on purevolume with songs such as "Till Daylight Breaks" and "You Wrote this Book for Me". Brian met guitarist Ron Somerville right after the Ep was digitally released and Brian asked his brother Paul to step in whenever he's not touring/playing drums for Kill Hannah. Also worth noting is that the bassist happens to be Brian and Paul's old childhood friend Martin Hreczuch (current owner of April 7's a custom frame shop in Chicago) as they all grew up playing music together.
Plans for the band are to continue growing the band's fan base via concerts and by consistently releasing new material.Band/artist history

We play in the city limits and in the burbs. Once I was on tour in my old band called numb I showed my balls to Pittsburgh it was one of those drunk moments.
