The CrackaJack Crew
Once upon a yesteryear, there were five young men with aspirations of conquering the planet Earth. They came to the overt observation that they were deathly broke and in the need of an endless supply of Krispy Kreme doughnuts. So they aspired to become a rap group, thinking that if they were super fly rappers they could be on MTV and get girlfriends that were pretty. However, the came to the shocking realization that when reality smacks you in the flipping face it stings a bit. So, they forge on to make artsy hip hop music that makes your mother squeal (in a very pure and sanctified type of way). The CrackaJack Crew, five white boys attempting hip hop.
No, but seriously, The CrackaJack Crew was formed for the promotion of Mixtape Meltdown, a local positive hip hop radio show. Mixtape Meltdown airs on both 90.5 KRBW Ottawa, KS and 92.5 KCBC Springfield, MO. All the proceeds from The CrackaJack Crew go directly to Mixtape Meltdown in an attempt to help show people the brighter side of hip hop. The CJ's released their first ep mixtape in the summer of 2004, and are preparing for a full length mixtape, which drops June 21, 2005 on their own "label" We Don't Sell Jack Records. All the support and love we get from the fans is much appreciated. One Love, One God, One Way. CJ's forever baby!!!Have you performed in front of an audience?We play live anywhere anyone wants us to. This only happens on occasion though. We'd love to tour or something, but with so many different schedules it's tuff to get that done.
We love doing shows. I'd say that's really what we like the most; giving the party people love and showing them a good time. We're not your typical rap diddy.
