Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
The Common Wealth is a hip-hop production duo based out of Blacksburg, Virginia, where they are currently Juniors at Virginia Tech. The group is composed of Stu Enscoe and Mike Brown, both brothers of the Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity. The group was formed when Brown joined the fraternity and discovered that Enscoe made rap instrumentals. Brown, who was already a skilled piano player, suggested they combine their efforts. Soon after, the two would begin to create a variety of hits, ranging from piano-based dramatic instrumentals to hard hitting, southern anthems. With Enscoe on the drums and mastering and Brown on the keys, the two now produce anything and everything under the sun. If you are interested in doing business with The Common Wealth, please send an e-mail to TheCommonWealthBeats@vt.edu.
