The Clean
The Clean began in the early 80's in the San Francisco Bay Area (we truly had no knowledge of the NZ band of the same name, until MANY years later), performing regularly from 1981-1983.
Having its roots in the American Punk-pop scene, and borrowing from heavier, energetic rock sounds from the 70's, modeling much from the New Wave movement in the latter part of the decade, The Clean played local shows, and a few clubs and outdoor venues, concerts and Band Battles, in which they usually placed 1st or 2nd!
As a pseudo-Christian band, we found ourselves as "fish-out-of-water". At the same time, however, we also felt at home; in that the common-ground was the excitement and creativity in the music!

Can I take lessons from him???" Thanks for helping me be the guitarist I am today, and thank you and all the inspiration and encouragement you've givien me through life - in other words: You Rock!!! _____________________________________ Beverly Beer Bellys http://www.soundclick.com/beverlybeerbellys malochango posted on Fri May 14, 2004 When I was in 3rd grade my school went to a concert put on by the high school music Dept. Jeff Blumer was the guitarist in that band and I remember how amazed I was when he demonstraited his skill, talents and phase shifter! I was hooked! From then until today music and guitars have been a huge part of my life! And it's all been good! Thanks Jeff! ________________________
