The Cheeslings were asongwriting workshop about 10 years ago. Nick Smith, Chris Newman & Chuck Hahn collaborated on each others tunes, arranging and brainstorming, etc
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
We met on Saturdays for several months and tried to help each other with the tunes we brought. Nick still gigs with his new band, Chris is family involved and chuck is disabled to play
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
We no longer perform, but played at an outside venue( called a "CheeseFest for 100-200 people
Your musical influences
Most any Brit-Pop groups from the '60s ( ie: Beatles, Kinks, Who) also '80s British rockers like Nick Lowe, D Edmunds, and stuff
What equipment do you use?
On a couple songs, I use a $25.00 Casio sampler
Anything else?
This was a great experience, some tunes inspired by a bad relationship or two. All songs were written by Newman- Hahn
