The Common Ground Band exists to glorify God through worship. We desire to encounter the Holy Spirit in a corporate setting with people of all ages and all branches of the body of Christ. We believe that true worship not only deepens a passion for Christ in the hearts of believers, but that it also draws unbelievers to an awareness of the power and kindness of God, thus bringing them to a plave of repentance and salvation

The band consists of five guys- a hodgepodge of unassuming worshipers. A lawyer wannabe, a graphic designer/janitor, a physicist/genius, a civil engineer, and a worship/college pastor. We were assembled to lead worship for a service called Common Ground--hence the name, The Common Ground Band. Common Ground is a multi-denominational worship experience for the north Louisiana area,designed to usher believers and unbelievers into the presence of God. At its beginning, three campus organizations from Louisiana Tech University gave up their weekly services and united to worship. In essense, they laid down their individual banners of ministry and denomination and raised the banner of Christ together. God has used this meeting to help force down long standing spiritual barriers within the city of Ruston between churches and ministries. With a shaken town and a body of collegiate believers longing for the glory of God to be made known things began to change. Since then, God has increased our vision and shared more of His heart and His burden with us. We believe that His heart is for every people group on earth to enter an eternal worship service, far more diverse and powerfel than the one we see each Tuesday night. Therefore, we now respond to the call of the Great Commission, longing to go out and make disciples.
