Hey now, that's the truth. I could never understand someone that criticized anybody who'd really put themself out there. How can you take something that they put so much effort into and with one sentence totally destroy it. That was someone's life for a couple months, a couple years. Oh well, they're too busy playing it safe, not putting their pride/esteem on the line. We were never great at we did, Drew, but we were good; and even more than that, we had fun. That's what it's been about. And creating that John/Paul rivalry... So don't sweat it, we'll be 64 one day putting on our records found in an old forgotten dusty box in our basements, drinking a glass and getting down to some meaning, which we will get.

Wow, this guy really sounds down and out. Hey you gotta keep your chin up. You know, that's the thing with anything creative; it can either make you feel so good or so terrible about yourself. It doesn't matter how many great designs I've made or how many decent songs I've written, you can always feel like you've done nothing worthwhile and will never have a good idea again. It just really doesn't take much to shake your confidence. So I'm right there with you, Drew. It can be hard. Writing good songs is important but just as important is keeping a persevering attitude. I don't know much of this album yet but I'd say your last had stronger songs than any of previous had. Two or 3 on there were 9 out of 10s, which is just crazy. So let's just leave it at that. Where is the Brushfire headed, burning strong or fizzling out?

Don't be so down on yourself Drew. I've been listening to the new stuff up on here and I honestly like it. And I'd have no reason to say I did unless I really did. Though that one song sounds a little Ben Kweller to me, at least the way you were singing it. But regardless I like your stuff so don't be so disheartened.

Did you use your real piano to record that or a keyboard? I liked that thing at the end of the song. It was real "Science of Things" sounding.

So Drew, you're coming along pretty well? I can't say I'm quite so far. I've always been more of a marketing man anyways. You know, promoting what isn't even there yet and all that. I'm excited for the album name. That's always such a special time in the production of an album, when you pick the name. I hope it's something that just punches me right in my face the first time I hear. I want my head to be spinning. And I know it'll be that powerful. All of them have been that good. All will continue to be that good.

Well now we are jet rocking with all these people back. Oh we can be friends alright, but it'll never be like it was at the wedding, things have just changed so much between us that I don't think it can ever be like that again.

The verse it certainly a Brushfire sound but I think the intro/chorus is new or at least expands your range. Sounds like it could be a good song. One of your most bright sounding jambs for sure.
